Want to make more room in your closets? The Twins by the Bay Garage Sale is coming up June 12 and 13 – it’s a great chance to get rid of no longer needed baby, kid and maternity items. Only members can sell at the sale (details are on the TBB website), but any one can donate items in gently used to new condition. My first experience with the garage sale was as a buyer, hauling my 5 month-old twins with me to get clothes, gear, and toys at can’t-be-beat prices. Friday is members only night -- it’s fun to shop and chat with other parents of multiples, who are more than willing to give you an understanding hand if your babies get fussy.
This is will be my second year selling at the garage sale. I'm looking forward to seeing the boxes of stuff I've been storing leave my house. Going through everything to tag has brought back some good memories, and it makes me happy to know that others will enjoy and get good use out of it all too. My older son also loves the garage sale, albeit for other reasons. He LOVES helping to put the clothes on hangers, filling out the price tags, and attaching the tags to the clothes with a tagging gun. The other day he happily busied himself with these tasks for close to an hour.
