Air Travel with Twins?

Our family is fortunate to have immediate family within driving distance, so we've never had to take our 7YO twins anywhere by plane (given our difficulties with being punctual and packing light, this is a good thing).  But I've seen enough questions on the TBB discussion forums to know that many club members would appreciate any useful references on the subject of air travel with small children.
