Some things never change.

When my girls were little and breastfeeding they had very distinct nursing styles. Elizabeth would take a little bit to latch on, but once latched, would suck and suck very persistently until she would pass out from nursing exhaustion. She would drink about 6 ounces or so in what seems like seconds.

Miranda, on the other hand, would latch on right away, but then pull off and look around. Then latch on, pull off and look around. This went on for 20-30 minutes each time and it drove me a up a wall. Her sister would be snoozing in my right arm and she would be dawdling in my left arm.

So I suppose it isn't very surprising that this is exactly how they eat now. Elizabeth tears into her food, eating everything on her plate regardless of what it is very quickly, announcing "all done, I'm full" proudly while pushing back her plate. Miranda picks and plays with her food, asking questions about each bite, stopping to chat or look around or sing a song. Elizabeth is done with her dessert and Miranda is still contemplating her dinner.

I wonder if they will still be like this in high school...

Funny, mine were the opposite: my "La Leche League Poster Baby" has been the pickier eater ever since they started solids, while the "would've been a formula-fed baby if not for her LLL Poster Baby Twin" twin is the one who never met a fruit or vegetable she didn't like and is much more willing to try out anything on her plate
